A verification practice, not a sales channel.
Most parties a buyer speaks to in Vietnam have a reason to want the answer to be yes. A trading company earns a margin on the order. A local agency often earns a referral fee from the factory it introduces. A sourcing agent is paid for finding you a supplier, which is a poor position from which to tell you that supplier has a problem. We are paid a fixed fee by you, and nothing by anyone else.
What you are actually choosing between.
Every option here is legitimate, and for some buyers the right answer is one of the first three. This is the comparison as we would put it to you on a call.
| Hire your own staff | Local agency | Do nothing | Field Diligence | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Who pays them | You — salary, visa, and overhead | Often partly the factory, via referral fees | — | You — a fixed published price, agreed before work begins |
| Conflict of interest | Low if well managed; local capture is a real risk over time | Common — introductions reward a match, not accuracy | — | None — no commercial relationship with any factory |
| Who answers for the finding | An employee, under your own employment law | Frequently no entity you can hold to a written agreement | Nobody | A named person, under a written service agreement |
| Time to first report | Weeks to hire, then ongoing cost whether used or not | Days, but findings vary by who is assigned | — | 2–3 weeks from scoping; 3–5 days for a desk check |
| EUDR / UFLPA-ready output | Depends entirely on the individual hired | Rarely mapped to a named regulation | None — the risk is simply unassessed | Findings mapped to the framework you must satisfy |
| Cost profile | Fixed monthly, regardless of activity | Per visit, often with unclear scope | Zero, until something goes wrong | Per engagement, published at USD 2,200, agreed in advance |
If you already run enough continuous volume in Vietnam to keep a full-time compliance hire busy year-round, hiring is usually cheaper than any external firm, including this one. We would rather say so on the first call than sell you an engagement you do not need.
Independence is not a limitation here — it is the entire product.
Each of these is a legitimate and valuable service. We stay out of all of them deliberately, because performing them would create exactly the conflict of interest that makes our verification worth paying for.
Supplier sourcing or matching
Finding or recommending manufacturers would pay us for producing a match, not for reporting the truth about one. This is the single most important thing we do not do.
Product quality control
QC checks goods against a specification. We check a manufacturer against its legal, operational, and regulatory claims. Different discipline, different liability, different provider.
Pre-shipment inspection
Quantity, packaging, and container loading checks belong to QC and logistics providers who do that work at scale, far better and cheaper than we could.
Product certification
CE, RoHS, REACH and similar marks are issued by accredited bodies. We are not one, and never will be — certifying a factory would make that factory our client.
Logistics and customs clearance
Moving your goods is a separate business with its own incentives. We have no stake in whether, when, or how a shipment moves.
Any role in the transaction itself
Payment for goods always goes directly from you to the factory. We never hold, route, or take a percentage of it, in either direction.
Built to be shown to your own board, not just filed away.
Independent by structure
We do not sell products, freight, or factory introductions on commission. The verification is the only thing we sell.
Physically present, not remote
Based in Đà Nẵng, covering the coastal manufacturing corridor from Huế to Quy Nhơn as standard, and the rest of Vietnam on the same published terms. Someone walks the floor.
Verified against a named standard
Every engagement states which framework it was conducted against — EUDR, UFLPA, BSCI, SMETA, ISO, or your own supplier code.
Evidence, not assertion
Source documents reproduced with translation, dated photographs, and register lookups — so a reader can check our reasoning rather than trust it.
Confidential by default
Findings go to you alone. We do not disclose your identity, product, or sourcing plans beyond what the visit requires.
The fee is the same either way
A negative finding costs us nothing and saves you a deposit. There is no version of this where we are paid more for a pass.
