Independent Verification · Vietnam

Know who you are dealing with in Vietnam before you pay the deposit.

Field Diligence checks manufacturers, factories and supply chains in Vietnam for international buyers. We work for you on the ground, not for the factory and not for a trading company.

You pay us for the verification and nothing else. Payment for goods always goes from you straight to the factory. We never handle it.

Why Buyers Work With Us

Our independence comes from how we are paid.

Many of the people a buyer talks to in Vietnam gain if the answer is yes. A trading company earns a margin on the order. A local agency may earn a referral fee from the factory it introduces. We earn a fixed fee from you, and nothing from anyone else.

Named, contractual accountability

You hire a named person under a written agreement with Field Diligence Limited (Hong Kong). You do not get an anonymous inspector from a marketplace pool. You know who walked the factory floor.

No relationship with any supplier network

We have no commercial link with the factories we verify. They never pay us in fees, commission or referral. Our only income is from the buyer who hires us.

Vietnam on the ground, EU and US rules on paper

We map our findings to EUDR Article 9, the US Lacey Act and UFLPA transshipment rules. Your compliance or legal team can use them without having to translate what we saw on site.

Core Service

Compliance Verification of Manufacturers in Vietnam

Before you commit volume, money or your customers’ trust to a factory you may never visit, we confirm who they are, what they can really produce, and whether they meet the standards and rules you must satisfy.

The deliverable: one verification report with documented findings, dated evidence and a clear risk rating, mapped to the rules that apply to your market. The rating reflects the evidence available at the time of verification. It is not a guarantee of future conduct or of legal compliance. A director can read it in ten minutes, and it answers the question if a customer, auditor or regulator asks how you chose this factory.

What We Verify
  • Legal existence and business licensing: confirming the entity behind the quotation is the entity that will produce your goods
  • Actual production capacity: physical capability we observe on site, not what a sales deck claims
  • Raw material origin and supply chain, mapped against EUDR Article 9 due diligence requirements
  • Certificate status: validated against the issuing body’s register, not taken at face value
  • Financial stability: signals of solvency and operational continuity
  • Sanctions, forced-labour and labour-law risk screening
  • Undisclosed subcontracting: who else touches your product
Fees

One published price, agreed before we start.

An hourly fee pays a firm for taking longer. A commission pays it for closing the deal. A fixed, published price does neither, and that is why we use one.

Compliance VerificationUSD 2,200

  • Full day on site, desk research, and an 18–30 page report
  • The price does not change based on what we find
  • No commission, referral fee, or payment from the factory in any form
  • Đà Nẵng, Hội An, Tam Kỳ, Huế, Quảng Ngãi and Quy Nhơn included: anywhere else in Vietnam, a flat $350
Priority Scheduling Rate

USD 1,800

Available for engagements confirmed within our current scheduling window. Scope, site visit, and report are identical to the published USD 2,200 service.

How We Quote

Quoted per engagement, not per man-day.

A verification is three to five days of work: desk research, register checks, travel, the site visit and the report. A one-day factory audit is a different product, priced differently.

These are prices, not starting points.

Not estimates, not “from” figures that grow once you are committed. The only variable is location: Đà Nẵng, Hội An, Tam Kỳ, Huế, Quảng Ngãi and Quy Nhơn are included, and a facility anywhere else in Vietnam is a flat $350.

Fixed fees, published. We are paid by you and by no one else.

Every engagement, from a $500 desk check to extended due diligence, is listed openly with what it includes and how long it takes.

Services

Everything else we offer builds on verification.

Each extra service answers the same question: can you trust this manufacturer? What we leave out matters just as much: see what we do not do, and why.

01 · Core

Compliance Verification of Manufacturers

The full check of a manufacturer’s legal, operational, and regulatory standing before you commit production volume or capital.

USD 2,200
02

Extended Counterparty Due Diligence

A deeper layer for supplier relationships you intend to keep: ownership structure, affiliations, and reputational and financial screening beyond the baseline check.

USD 3,900
03

Shipment Origin Verification

A focused check that a specific outbound shipment matches its declared origin and volume: addressing transshipment risk. Not quantity, quality, or packaging.

USD 1,100
04

Remote Verification

Register and certificate validation plus a live, guided video walkthrough with time-stamped documentation: for suppliers you are still screening. Does not replace a site visit. Production capacity and origin are observed on video, not verified in person.

USD 850
05

Negotiation Support

An independent, Vietnamese-speaking representative in the room during supplier talks: briefed on your terms, with no interest in whether a deal closes.

USD 700 / day
How We Work

Four steps, and the decision stays yours at every one.

01

Scope

We agree what “compliant” means for your product, market and regulation, and how much verification your decision really needs. This conversation is free. Sometimes it ends with us telling you that you do not need us yet.

02

Verify

Desk research, checks of documents against the issuing registers, and the site visit. We do this independently, without notice to any intermediary you have not approved.

03

Report

One structured report with the findings, dated evidence, source documents with translation, and a risk rating. You can act on it, or hand it to your compliance or legal team.

04

Decide

You choose whether to proceed, request corrective action, or walk away. We do not advise you on the commercial decision, we do not contact the factory on your behalf afterwards, and we have no stake in which way you go.

Who You'll Work With

Alex Sav

Founder & Managing Director · Field Diligence

17 years in international B2B trade: competitive tenders, supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, and managing relationships with manufacturers, contractors, and business partners across multiple markets.

That experience is the reason this practice exists in this shape: the side of the table that writes the specification, reads the documents, and carries the consequence when a supplier turns out to be something other than claimed.

Site visits are conducted personally, with a Vietnamese-speaking assistant where language access is needed: findings are his, and he signs every report. Day-to-day communication and report delivery run through Ksenia Bershtein, Client Operations Manager.

Frequently Asked

Questions directors ask before the first call.

How is Field Diligence different from a sourcing agent or trading company?+
Sourcing agents and trading companies earn their margin from the transaction: an order placed, a container shipped. We are engaged and paid directly by you, for the verification itself, regardless of whether you proceed with a factory. We have no financial interest in your decision, and we never source or introduce manufacturers on commission.
Do you help me find a manufacturer?+
No. Identifying candidate manufacturers stays with you, your sourcing team, or a sourcing agent. Keeping that role separate from ours is what makes the verification independent: a firm paid to find you a supplier has a reason to want that supplier to pass. Once you have a manufacturer in mind, we verify it.
Do you perform quality control or pre-shipment inspection?+
No. Product quality control and pre-shipment inspection are separate disciplines from compliance verification, with different liability. We refer you to specialist providers for that work. We do not perform it and take no responsibility for it.
What does a verification cost?+
A Compliance Verification is USD 2,200: a fixed published price, not a starting point. A lower USD 1,800 rate is available for engagements confirmed within our current scheduling window. A document-only Preliminary Check is USD 500. The only variable is location: Đà Nẵng, Hội An, Tam Kỳ, Huế, Quảng Ngãi and Quy Nhơn are included, and a facility anywhere else in Vietnam adds a flat USD 350. The fee does not change based on what we find, and we are never paid by the factory in any form.
Why is the rate lower for some engagements?+
Engagements confirmed within our current scheduling window qualify for USD 1,800 instead of the published USD 2,200. Scope, site visit, and report are unchanged. It reflects scheduling capacity, not a reduced service.
How long does it take?+
A Preliminary Check is returned in 3–5 business days and a Remote Verification in 5–7. A full Compliance Verification, including the site visit and report, takes 2–3 weeks from scoping. Extended Counterparty Due Diligence takes 3–4 weeks.
How can I evaluate the work before engaging?+
The full sample report, the published methodology and exclusions, and the published fees are all public, plus a free scoping call to walk through the specifics of your situation before you commit to anything.
